Not a fav

It does give a cooling to the skin , and it does have an unusual natural ingredients scent but sadly for me it didn’t calm my redness which was reason I purchased 😔 I have been soooo impressed by all my other products from Skinceuticals which I have purchased recently but this is the only product which personally didn’t work for me .

Nice soothing mist

Lovely

I’ve been using this for two weeks both morning and evening as a first step in my routine and it’s a great base before serum and moisturiser, it’s very soothing and calming and also great to use during the day to soothe skin especially during cold weather also great that all your products come in glass bottles for sustainability, would definitely recommend this product especially if you have reactive or sensitive skin

A refreshing tonic for skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample of Skinceuticals Photo Corrective Essence Mist in return for an honest review. The presentation is typical high Skinceuticals quality, in a green glass bottle with a spray applicator and with instructions on keeping your mouth and eyes closed during application (sprayed onto the face) and not to inhale, as the product is designed for topical external application only. The mist on application is slightly cooling and refreshing, with a faint odour that is not unpleasant at all. I found that it resulted in some hydration and minor reduction in facial redness; however the Skin Review programme does not give sufficient time to allow the product to work before the email reminders to submit a review start coming in, hence I can only award three stars at the time of writing, with the bottle less than 1/5 used. To be fair, it has been incredibly cold and I would expect the product to continue improvement in performance given a longer amount of time. The only downside in my personal opinion is a slight sticky residue once the product dries rather than a moisturising sensation. In summary, on my skin the product has resulted in minor reduction in facial redness during a cold period where I alternate between icy walks outside on my commute and a warm office. I would probably not purchase this product myself; however if you use it in less extreme conditions and have the time to allow it to work its magic, I would suggest you give it a try - it can be applied over make up as well throughout the day. Also for those who may wish to take it with for a refreshing spritz while travelling by air, the bottle is 50ml/1.7 fl. oz. and hence can be taken through security in your hand luggage.

Amazing mist to carry in a handbag

Feels fresh

Bunny. Phytocorrective

Calming and hydrating

Just as importantly (in my opinion!), the mist mechanism was ideal as it was a gentle mist that didn’t just jet out at one point. This mist was ideal under a hydrating serum and moisturiser and layered nicely if you like layering essences with your other products.

Great layering and stand alone product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice hydrating and soothing mist. I apply my vitamin C product, let that absorb and then spray with the Phyto Corrective Essence Mist and whilst still wet I apply the hydrating b5 serum. I've also used it alone to soothe irritated and dry skin, and over make-up to soothe, hydrate and refresh. The product feels nice and I like that the packaging is in glass rather than plastic. The spray top also sprays just the right amount of product so it applies a decent amount to the face in each spray but is not uncomfortable for the face or eyes; it actually lives up to it's name in being a 'mist'. A really lovely addition to my regime!

A soothing rescue mist

It’s perfect for soothing sensitive skin or a refreshing lift when my skin feels tight and dehydrated. Phyto Mist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only started using this about a week after receiving. Wasn’t sure of the scent to start with, but now really like it. I have got into a habit now of spritzing it every time I go I to the bathroom as it is so refreshing. Light and Hydrating spray

Refreshing Under or Over makeup spritz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only been using for a couple of weeks but I am looking forward to using this in the summer months too as it is so refreshing! In the Winter my skin can be prone to redness, and this has been lovely to use in the AM and PM. Not yet noticed a miracle of a difference but cools down and feel fresh. Some mists like these can have an artificial or perfume feel to them however this one does not which is great for me and my sensitive skin. It has a lovely herbal aroma to it, I am soon to be flying over the Christmas break so will certainly pack this in my bag!

Lovely and hydrating mist

I have used it in replacement of an essence and it has some lovely ingredients for moisturising the skin and reducing redness. I have been pleasantly surprised as it is a very soothing fine mist which instantly makes your skin feel more hydrated. I have not noticed a reduction in redness but my skin definitely feels more soothed. The spray is a fine mist and soaks nicely into the skin and makes my dry skin feel more hydrated. I do like this product and would recommend.

Ideal travel companion

Easy hydration for skin throughout the day

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A light weight and refreshing mist to spritz throughout the day. I really liked how finely the just sprayed, ensuring product spreads evenly over your face. It soaks into your skin well (I like to leave to air dry). I leave it out on the side and spritz as the kettle boils throughout the day and find it gives my skin a hydration boost even when added over makeup. Soothing and Hydrating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a late 50 year old female, living in SE England, with combination skin. However for the past 20 years i have Rosacea which is now under control but makes my skin complicated and highly sensitive and reactive. Through trial and error and lots of wasted purchases and skin flare ups I am very careful what I put on my skin. SkinCeuticals is one of only two brands I now trust to use on my skin. In the winter i find my skin needing more hydration but if i use moisturiser under my SPF it can lead to breakouts on my Rosacea. I spend a lot of time outdoors dog walking and caring for horses so my skin is often battered by wind and cold and at the end of the day my skin can feel sore. So far, I have been using this in the evening after cleansing to soothe my skin and so far it has been working very well. Skin so far this winter is feeling softer and not so taught and I am having no congestion issues with it. I will give this a few more weeks before I start to use this in the morning under my SPF. I have not noticed a big difference on redness but certainly dryness has improved so far so it seems to be a good preventative. I will continue to use this all year as it seems to give me the right amount of hydration.

Great product but not great packaging.

The product definitely lived up to my expectations and left my skin feeling very hydrated without leaving it sticky or irritated. Unfortunately the spray nozzle didn't work at all and I was unable to use it as a mist, instead I had to apply it like a serum. I don't think that I would purchase again based on the nozzle and would rather stick to the original serum.

Very hydrating mist

Good mist moisturiser

Good mist, doesn’t pour water on you like some spray like moisturisers. It soothes my skin after a workout and it’s super quick and easy to apply. A little extra!

Very Hydrating, I love this mist!

I love how the essence mist has been formulated, especially how fine and light it is. Without wasting any product, it evenly coats the skin and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. Additionally, my skin went through a lot after spending a month on vacation in Africa, so I appreciate how soothing/hydrating the Mist feels on my face and neck. Nice packing, not so nice content

It is far too fragranced for me though, and the spray is not the best. Rather than a fine mist, it comes out just like a regular spray that does not disperse smoothly. Say goodbye to red cheeks

I am new to facial misters but found I loved the sensation and cooling effect it had on my skin. You can use on naked skin or over the top of your makeup too. The botanical scent is lovely. Provides moisture and dewy finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love a face mist and was really excited when Skinceuticals sent me this one to review. After using it for a couple weeks now, I can definitely comment on its fantastic moisturising properties. I like to mist this directly after washing my face; it rids my skin of any tightness. It is especially great for misting on top of my makeup to give a dewy finish. What I particularly like is the very fine and even mist this bottle delivers (I’ve had many face mists that spit out big droplets), so it doesn’t disturb my makeup. I do think this product reduces some facial redness, though I find this a lesser obvious result. The smell is also very clean and gentle. Overall, a wonderful product. (Bonus side note - I find using this product to be an anxiety-reducing strategy and keep it on my desk so that I can mist my flushed face when I’m having a work-based anxiety attack!) I do give this 4 stars only because it is fairly pricey for a face mist! However, I will likely buy again for the dewy finish it gives my skin.

Great over makeup, when you’re on the go

Refreshing and hydrating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's very convenient to use and feels weightless on the skin once it's been spritzed. I've been keeping it my handbag to use throughout the day to refresh and hydrate my skin, and it can be applied over makeup and sun protection as it applies in a fine mist. I recently went on a long haul flight and used this spray to help prevent dehydration of my skin on the 9+ hour flight, it was the perfect product for keeping my skin supple and comfortable without any greasy residue. The spray has a nice herbal/cucumber scent that isn't overpowering. In terms of it ability to reduce redness, I haven't noticed it make a huge difference to my skin (maybe a slight reduction), but it is great for adding 'on the go' moisture that won't ruin your makeup.

After using it I have found that it’s useful to carry with me, and it's so practical to get a radiant and fresh look any time of the day. Lovely product, disappointing dispenser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really looking forward to trying this product as I am pale with hyperpigmentation and red spots at times. Unfortunately, the spray mechanism just doesn’t work - it all fizzes up at the hole and I have to use my fingers to dab it on my face so I was disappointed with that. On a more positive note, it feels like silk on my face so I’m looking forward to seeing how it improves the redness over the coming weeks. I may have to buy another spray bottle for it, though.

Spraying your face with your eyes shut.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not so much have an issue with the product but with the way it is delivered. The instructions say close your eyes and spray 6 inches from face. This actually makes it quite difficult to deliver it to the areas you wish to target. The spray is a fine mist so travels a wide area. Spraying my forehead meant some spray went on my eyelids. This sensitive skin reacted badly and my eyelids were irritated and swollen. So I had to stop using it.

Good hydration but a bit sticky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the hydration this gave and it did have a calming effect on my dry, sensitive skin. Having just turned 40, I do feel the need for extra hydration for my skin that the serums, creams and oils I’m currently using just don’t give enough of to last all day. It gave a slight improvement to my redness and discolouration after using for just a week so far. However, it does have a slightly sticky texture on my skin, I guess this is how it keeps the hydration in. I really like all the botanical ingredients in this and as always with Skin Ceuticals, it feels like a really good quality product that does what it says, I’d definitely recommend the brand to friends. I’m female and have used SkinCeuticals for many years now.

Pleasantly surprised!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a skin therapist, I didn't have high expectations for skin essences. However, all my sensitive-skinned clients love the Phyto corrective gel, so I decided to give it a go. My perimenopausal skin barrier can do with all the help it can get, especially going into the winter. I can usually tolerate skincare actives like L'ascorbic acid and Tret, but I have noticed a bit of redness and peeling recently. But anything rich blocks my pores and leads to jawline acne. I decided to try it every morning before my run and see if the extra hydration protected my skin from the elements without blocking my pores. After the first week I noticed a reduction in redness either side of my nose and no flaking on my chin. What a relief - now I won't have to give up my actives over the winter.

So easy and comforting to use

It’s cooling and calming but as yet I haven’t noticed any significant difference to my facial skin. I like the fact I can use it over makeup, as my skin reddens easily and I find that having the bottle in my bag is comforting and can use it as and when I fell I need it

Perfect for a sensitive skin with redness!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like this product! I have sensitive skin with redness and I have really noticed a difference! I like to spray it on before adding my serums in the morning and evening. It’s also good for spraying on my face during the day in work to help with dryness due to the air con! I really like how good the actual spray nozzle is, it sprays a fine mist rather than spraying too much product on your face which I have found with other brands. Would recommend.

Nice soothing product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bit early to say how effective the mist is, but so far so good. Feels cooling and refreshing and seems to soothe my skin that can get irritated by retinol. I like a mist, as it can add extra hydration to my skin without breaking me out like some thick creams.

Very fine mist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lovely fine mist that comes out of the bottle. Very slight smell to it, not perfumed but more herbal and natural. Great to use on top of makeup and prefer it that way. Have also used it as a toner but find that I need to spray more.

Light & refreshing

Lovely Phyto Range Fragrance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the trusty Phyto aroma of this product and it’s lovely and silky on the skin. If I accidentally get it close to my eyes or lips, it doesn’t sting or cause any issues. The spray is consistent which is important for spraying on the face with eyes closed. It’s nice and cooling as you’d expect from the Phyto range, and even though it has hyaluronic acid, it doesn’t make my skin itch like some HA products do.

Dewy Hydrated Skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for the winter! Dehydrated skin is a challenge at this time of year but this mist really hydrated the skin, helps reduce the redness and among other plant extracts and beneficial ingredients, it has hyaluronic acid! We need this in everything! It smells good and leaves the skin looking and feeling hydrated. You can also spray this as many times as you like and on top of make up!

Dewy, hydration boost

Hydrating and refreshing mist!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic product! This mist is so refreshing. It’s very cooling and hydrating which makes it good for sensitive skin like mine. I use retinoids and sometimes get irritation on the neck, so this is really nice for soothing that area as well as giving a layer of hydration over the whole face. It smells lovely too and helps your next product spread over the face nicely as it dampens the skin very slightly. Good to use before hyaluronic acid products or any actives like vitamin c as the dampness will improve absorption. This contains cucumber and glycerin which are amazing ingredients. Highly recommended.
