New formula is teribble. Please bring back the old one! I'd been using the old version for more than 8 years, but after using the new formula, my face started to breakout. Very disappointing, after all these years now I have to find a cleanser that works..

Do not use new formula!

I have loved the Toleriane line, including this cleanser. I opened a new tube a few days ago and used as usual, but after only a few uses I noticed a red itchy rash forming on my neck and I couldn’t figure out what caused it. I used it again today and within half an hour my whole face turned bright red, itchy and burning - I couldn’t believe it was this product that I’ve trusted so much in the past! But it is the only new skincare item I’ve introduced in months and the reaction today was undeniably linked to this product. Shame as I’ve now lost trust in the entire brand for producing such an irritating product as part of the Toleriane line (and all the other recent reviews here confirm this experience is not isolated to me). Avoid this at all costs.

Gradually burned my Normal, non sensitive skin

I have normal non sensitive skin. Until now. It took me a while to work out why my skin was slowly starting to burn, because it had never happened before. I really wish companies would stop putting so much niacinamide in everything. Too much of it burns. Why is it needed in a 'Gentle cleanser'. Small amounts of it may be anti inflammatory, but not in something you have to use very day, It's becoming really annoying that it's in absolutely everything.

New formula is terrible.

New formulation is terrible. Caused me breakouts and irritation. The old Caring wash formula was PERFECT! Why change it? Also, new formulations should be clearly advertised as such - I wouldn't have purchased had I known the ingredients had changed.

Not great for my sensitive skin

,I’m hoping it settles but I starting using this around a month ago and my skin has been burning and redness is more prominent. I bought it when I couldn’t find any of the Gentle Foaming cleanser and it’s clearly made of much tougher stuff. Not sure what to try next but so disappointing as I love all my other La Roche products…

Not as good as it once was

Did you change the formula? I have used this for years as it's the only cleanser that doesn't give me dermatitis but the latest bottle I bought has made my skin incredibly dry and flaky. I knew something was off when I noticed the colour of the cleanser had changed :(

I’m confused

I have very sensitive skin so I wanted to give this a try. I have been using this for 3 days now and I am cleansing morning and night. When night 2 came around, I noticed that my face was turning red and was getting a little bit itchy but my skin isn’t dry it’s actually a lot more soft and moisturised after using it, so I’m not sure why it’s turning red and getting a bit itchy. I’m also breaking out where I normally break out which is my chin. I don’t know if I’m purging or just very sensitive to this product. Can purging happen straight away?

BUY THIS!!!

Such a gentle and thorough cleanser for my whole face especially my dryer-than-dry forehead! Feels like it turns sandpaper to fresh soft skin, and it’s not uneconomical because I don’t need to use much. I’m sticking with this product from here on in.

Best gentle cleanser on the market!?

My skin reacts easily to environmental factors and on top of this I'm back on isotretinoin, which makes irritation even worse. This cleanser has saved my skin. I've tried multiple gentle cleansers on the market but this is the only one that gently yet thoroughly cleanses my skin - leaving no residue, no tightness, no sunscreen/dirt behind. I wish it came in a bigger pump bottle, otherwise 10/10.

Ruined my skin

I love La Roche Posay however this cleanser was just not it for me. It cause serious dryness (like really bad, my skin has never been this dry) and caused a lot of irritation. My skin was in flames it burned so much, was so red, made so much texture and bumps. Also really stings my eyes which I ended up to insanely swollen eyes. I had a perfect skin care routine before this but I decided to try one of La Roches cleansers because my old one was coming to a end, now it strings to do skincare and my face looks like rough concrete. Nothing helps no matter how much moisturiser, hydrating serum, oil, my face is still so dry

Absolutely love! Wish it came in a bigger size!

So so good for dry skin and takes makeup off so easily, hands down one of the best face washes I’ve used for dry skin. Doesn’t make your skin feel tight or dry at all and actually really hydrated and clean. Please make this in a bigger size!

Helped my skin so much

I love this face wash so much but I recommend only using it once a day, it helped with my breakouts and left my skin so soft and smooth! I have extremally sensitive skin and this is just what I needed.

Average cleanser

It’s super gentle yes. But I felt no difference to my skin after using it to be honest. After a long day with or without makeup, it just doesn’t cleanse very well, and I have acne prone sensitive skin. I won’t be repurchasing

Burning sensation on sensitive skin

I usually love La-Roche Posay products and the brand, however this product just wasn't for me. I suffer from eczema and therefore need a cleanser that is gentle enough for sensitive and dry skin yet will be able to cleanse my skin properly. I experienced painful burning skin after using the product, and my skin would burn when putting on any other products (my usual moisturisers etc that I have used for years, without any reaction). I do love La-Roche Posay, and will continue to buy a few of their other products, however I would recommend anyone with very sensitive skin or any medical skin conditions (such as eczema) to be careful when using this. I had to use their Thermal Spring Water to calm my face down.

I bought this two weeks ago and will 100% only be using La Roche-Posay from now on. I have spent probably over 5k on skincare and nothing has worked for my super sensitive skin. I got recommend La Roche Posay and I wish I used it earlier. LOVE this product alongside my other La Roche products. Thank you, will definitely be purchasing again.

Made my face sting!!

It felt lovely putting on but terrible when the product was washed off, my skin became instantly very tight, red/blotchy, very dry almost flaky, and stung horribly.

Whoever developed formulation for this cleanser clearly didn’t try it on their face, because it literally burns your face! Worst cleaners, wont recommend to anyone with or without sensitive skin

Very caring face wash

I have used this face wash for a few weeks now, I have dry sensitive skin, and this works wonders for me. It doesn't sting or react with my skin in any way like some cleansers do, a little bit goes a long way too I've found. if you gently rub it in your face and leave it on for a few minutes and pat it gently off with a bit of water, your skin really soaks in the goodness and is nice and soft afterwards. It also just lifts off make up so you just need to gently wipe it off, no scrubbing or excessive rubbing! thanks so much for making this product my skin's integrity has improved.

Love Formula HATE packaging

Its not often that I let a bad packaging deter me form getting a product but honestly this packaging is so hard to close and you end up losing a lot of product. Also it leaks quite a bit, i wished this came in the pump the American version comes in. Have found myself loving and using other face washes over these, because they deliever simliar results with less hassle. Really dont want to be buying a face wash that ends upjust leaking

Super Gentle

I recieved this in my bellabox and i absolutely love it. It works well with my ultrasonic cleaning system. I have noticed that my pores have become alot smaller and skin is tighter!
