This was my first time trying a retinol and I thought this was ok, for a start it did not make me breakout, and in fact has helped my spots, simple to use and a good price.

A safe, simple retinol serum

I had no issues as a first time retinoid user with this product. After three months of twice-weekly use, I found it helped a lot with my acne and clogged pores, but it didn't seem to do much for my hyperpigmentation or fine lines. I would recommend starting with this even if you plan to later switch to a stronger product.

Smoothes the surface of the skin

The cerave resurfacing Retinol Serum gently exfoliates and brightens skin and helps to reduce the appearance of post-acne marks and blemishes. My skin has started to look a lot more even, but as it contains retinol, you have to be careful in the sun, as it can make your skin more sensitive. It's best to use sun protection with retinol products. The inclusion of niacinamide & 3 Essential Ceramides helps to protect the skin barrier.

The only thing that's helped my skin

I have suffered with combination skin, persistent recurring spots and resulting hyperpigmentation for years. I tried prescription strength retinol which stung my skin and ruined my skin barrier. I have tried BHAs, AHAs, blackhead scrubs, masks, a load of different serums. Nothing I have used before has actually worked. I swear to god this is the only thing that keeps my spots at bay. I use it most evenings, and when I wake up, my skin isn't as oily as a chip pan (like it usually is), I hardly ever get spots, and I feel like my hyperpigmentation is fading. I feel more comfortable not wearing foundation now, which is a massive thing for me. This serum is my go-to and I am going to be purchasing on repeat, so if you could please NOT DISCONTINUE.

Not for younger skin

Made my acne worse, probably my fault as you should use it when os adult. This created more acne and scars wouldn’t recommend for teen skin and teen acne. More for adult acne scars and acne. Use wisely and not much so your skin may get used to it.

Retinol

This is the first and only retinol ive tried so far. The feel is nice. It lasts a good amount of time as you only need a little amount when you use it. I also dont use it every day to let my skin rest as I have sensitive skin. I have bought this for my mum and she uses it every day. She likes how it feels on her skin.

Cerave serum

Cerave’s hydrating hyaluronic acid serum it’s rich and creamy lightweight serum this is great on my dry skin and works wonders on skin barrier! Retinol gave me a bright and glowing skin .

This retinol is so good . I was using it wrongly not until I noticed that applying it all alone at night gives me more brighter and glowing skin the next day . It has cleared post acne marks and makes my face look beautiful, bright and glowing . I now apply every night.

Saved my skin - TWICE!

Long story, but I think it's worth sharing... This was the first retinol I introduced to my acne-prone, blotchy, and heavily scarred skin. My skin quickly became brighter and less scarred (though I did get isolated whiteheads for the first six weeks - part of the purge I guess). By the time I finished the first bottle, my skin was smooth, bright, and the best it's ever been. For the first time in my life, I could go out without makeup on! I then decided I should move onto something 'stronger', so I left CeraVe for a stronger retinol from a different brand. From the very start of this new product, my skin broke out with deep, sore pimples and it became so dry. I persevered for 6 months (my own fault - I should have come off sooner but got bad advice) but by then, my skin was wrecked with the most intense scarring and acne I've ever had. I took a break from all retinols for 2 months and saw little improvement. Then, I went back to CeraVe's retinol, and within a week, I'm already looking better again. In other words, CeraVe's retinol managed to start undoing months of damage in just a few days. Very thankful for this product as it's helped me gain confidence twice over. I'll stick with it, this time!

Excellent way to beginning your retinol journey

I am a newbie to retinol (far too late) at 49 the signs of aging, pigmentation bla bla bla were getting me down. This has made my skin super soft, plumped, less pores & over all very much more glowy! I’m am definitely going to repurchase & then move up to a higher dose. It has definitely improved my skin & I have sensitive skin but no reaction to this lovely stuff! Great way to start your journey without breaking out or breaking the bank! Love these products!!

Definitely not for my skin

I would highly recommend a patch test before attempting to use this. I used a small amount (as recommended in the instructions) and my face is red, blotchy and completely dried out. I feel like I have windburn and whatever I put on it stings. I may of had a bad reaction and therefore if you are considering using then definitely PATCH TEST!

Actually works for Spot scars

Need to trial for longer

Although I don't think this was helped by the heatwave and perspiration that I experienced a week into using the product. I really like this.

My scars are lighter and my skin looks smoother now too. It is a little harsh but if you use lotion it helps. It is a bit expensive for me but it's worth it. I definitely recommend it. I have been using the serum every other day as part of my night time routine. The resurfacing serum says you can apply it everyday unless you had a sensitivity on its first use. I felt like using the serum every other day was perfect for my skin and for me to see improvements in my skins appearance. I was really impressed the serum really worked for me. My skin didn't feel dry using the serum but I continued to moisturise whilst using the CeraVe Resurfacing serum. I really enjoyed using the serum I felt like I could see a visible change in the texture of my skin and felt my skin tone was more even overall. My skin looks clearer and resurfaced! Too early to notice any change

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive heard a lot about Cerave but this was the first product I’ve tried myself. The product was easy to apply and went on nicely. I was keen to try a product with Retinol as I’ve heard good things, however I am yet to notice any difference to my skin. I will keep using to see if in time I get any results. A benefit though Was that I could use about 5 times a week and didn’t have any dry skin or bad reactions from it. As I am yet to see any results I don’t think I would recommend this yet, but I think it needs more time.

It’s okay not terrible

Very good face serum

Overall a good product

Since using the product I also developed a big spot that has taken weeks to go down, I don't know if this is down to the product specifically but it is worth noting as I'm not prone to breakouts or big spots popping up randomly. So far so good

Powerful ingredients in a gentle formula

Radiance, smoothness and firmness of the skin

Amazing retinol serum

Improves Texture for Healthy Looking Skin

Another good product from CeraVe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really keen to try this product from CeraVe as I'm a big fan of their products and have some areas of pigmentation I was hoping to improve. I'm also always on the lookout for products to help improve a fee fine lines I'm starting to get around my eyes! The cream was easy to apply and didn't irritate my skin, which can be sensitive at times. I feel it did help smooth my skin slightly and lighten some of the small marks I had from old spots, but didn't notice any difference in fine lines. It might just have needed more time though! Amazed at the result

When I started using the CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum my face was showing some post acne wounds and once applying the serum, I was feeling a sensation of hot and the serum was absorbed quickly by my skin. Lovely night cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this resurfacing retinol cream every night for 2 weeks and have experienced no dryness (I do usually use a 0.3% retinol cream though). It makes my skin super soft and moisturised and I can definitely see fewer acne scars already (mine are quite mild). I would definitely recommend this cream as a resurfacing night cream for those with acne/acne scars/pores but I’d be cautious about using it solely for its anti-aging properties/retinol content as nowhere does it say what the concentration of retinol in the product is.

Resurfacing serum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the packaging it came in which highlighted the benefits and the directions for use. I also found it useful that this was replicated on the bottle itself (as I lost the box.) Loved that this was unscented and the bottle distributed a good amount of product. I found I only needed to use a small amount of product and was impressed at how quickly it absorbed into the skin leaving it looking glowy and helped to minimise the look of pores and scarring to the face. This helped as a base to use underneath make up.

Good Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try this serum as I have always suffered from acne. The packaging was good as it made it very easy to understand how and when to use it. I loved the texture of the serum as it didn’t feel heavy or greasy - it was smooth and seemed to glide over the skin. In addition, it didn’t really have an odour which is great! My skin did seem to appear better as my family members and people from work commented on the appearance and change in my skin, however I feel like longer than 2 weeks is required to properly see the impact of the product. After the first use, my eyes appeared dryer, but once my skin got used to the actives, my skin was fine. I will continue using this and May even purchase it in the future.

Fab-CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum

Smooth and improved skin texture

I'm in love!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have combination skin prone to black heads, enlarges pores, acne scaring & spots. I basically have teenage skin in my 30's. I have been using this resurfacing retinol for 2 weeks and have noticed a difference in my skin already. It no longer looks congested with blackheads, the surface is renewed meaning my skin looks brighter and fresher with very minimal spots. I would imagine that with prolonged use, I could be spot free and a million times happier with my skin. It's also very reasonably priced in comparison to other brands, however it doesn't state the percentage of retinol so it's difficult to tell how it compares to others in terms of amount of active ingredients. 1 pump does my entire face and neck. It is super easy to apply and doesn't have a scent. I would definitely reccomend anybody with skin concerns to give it a try before splurging out on expensive stuff.

I did find that it resurfaced my in places. However found that when I tried it 3 days in a row my skins started looking worse. So kept it to every other day

CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum

Texture is completely smooth after using this and pores are much smaller. I have an oily tzone and old acne's scars. my face was cleared up in 2 weeks. A Retinol to continue with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used several brands of retinol before and am an avid user of CeraVe cream cleanser and hydrating moisturiser trying their own retinol is a no brainer. I was both skeptical and hopeful that the niacinamide wasn't too high of a concentration as other brands have caused blemishes past the usual purging phase, happily, this one is of low enough concentration to not do that which is great. However I'd like to keep in mind that my 2 week trial is not long enough to give full results for any skincare item let alone a retinol (30-60 day cellular turnover), In saying that I had no adverse reactions the the formulation and given that it is buffered with other actives. Helps replace several active skincare items in 1 so shortens the 2 days within the week (as one should not use a retinol more than that per/week) If you are a lover of CeraVe and are looking to add a retinol this one is a good one to add to your routine.

Magic serum

Broke me out initially

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I noticed after a few days of using this product, I started breaking out with a few spots on my cheeks and on my chin. I rarely get spots on my cheeks so I think it must be the product that’s caused it. However, I’m new to using retinol and have read that it can initially make you break out - something called a skin purge. I continued using the product every other day and didn’t get any more spots so I am going to continue using it. The product itself is really nice, glides on the skin smoothly. It Les a small bottle but you really don’t need much at all to cover your face. A little goes a long way.

Works well

Cera Ve resurfacing Retinol serum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using cerave for about 2 weeks (still continues). It is a light serum and absorbs quickly. It gently smoothed the skin structure and brightened it (previously my skin was more pink). Wonderfully soothes and moisturizes very well - it is soft and pleasant to the touch. Visibility of pores - I didn't notice any difference.

Replenished and fresh faced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied the serum every night before bed to try restore the areas of my face that suffer with large pores/scars. As I don't wear foundation, I felt thus definitely aided in rejuvenating my scarred (from acne/spots) areas. I feel I look fresher overall, minimised pores without feeling 'greasy' or having fry skin. This serum left my skin feeling hydrated when I woke but did slightly burn when initially applying. My skin has definitely improved in terms of minimised pores, although I plan to continue using to see if the effects are longer term.

More even skin tone
