Bad reaction to this

I have often used Vichy products, thinking them pure and well established, but had a very bad reaction to this: rash and itching. I didn't think I had particularly sensitive skin, but I was certainly sensitive to this and stopped using it after three days.

Don't remember

I used two times VICHY night cream with pure retinol and after that I get very itchy skin, under and around my eyes dry spots. Now I am afraid to put on any cream because my skin is extremely sensitive and the arias around eyes is burning.

Not a good product fir the sensitive under eye area

Unfortunately. for the first time using a skin care product, I have got a severe reaction to this product. burning sensation, itchy and red skin under my eyes. I am so dissapointed since I am regular user of Vichy skincare products and usually I am loving them

Amazing

Amazing eye cream. Only need a tiny amount to use every time and it makes skin around eyes smoother and soft, wrinkles are less visible and skin looks plumper. I already finished all the tube and planing to get another one, because I'm happy how the cream works and it does what it says.

Did not work for my oily skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm with oily skin and never had any issues with retinol products, no matter how often I use them. This night cream simply didn't work for me. I gave it good amount of time and still didn't done anything positive, no improvements at all. It causes terrible skin irritation on my cheeks, not even under eye area. The checks were burning badly. I have never experienced such sort of irritation. I would suggest the company to reduce the amount of retinol in the product. I absolutely wouldn't use this product as I simply can't use it more than one a week. With such frequency it's obvious that I won't get any skin improvement. The most stubborn and difficult to use product. I can't recommend it even if I wish. The retinol in it is super strong and might cause redness, itchy or irritation, even feeling of burning skin.... I'm extremely disappointed with my own experience and will be looking forward for improvement in this product.

Vichy reign victorious!

It’s a bit of an overnight miracle. I love it for the following reasons: It smells fresh & clean with a vague hint of pear. Perfect

It does not feel heavy or greasy and its a general formula because it’s retinal best introduced in over a period of three weeks week one I applied every second night with two every other day every night and week three every night, you must also remember to playing SPF 30 or above my face felt hydrated and it looked more healthier with a nice even skin tone

Skin Saviour

I am prone to hyperpigmentation, so I always have to make sure I am using the right skincare to both treat any current dark spots as well as prevent further hyperpigmentation. I also have ageing skin, so I love that this night cream contains both niacinamide and retinol. So with this one step, I am treating my skincare concerns of hyperpigmentation and ageing skin. While using this cream, I noticed quite a quick improvement in my fine lines, particularly on my forehead. My skin looks smoother and my skin texture has improved too, so my skin feels softer. After using this cream for a few weekas, I noriced that my skin was looking brighter and more radiant. My dark spots have faded and my skin tone looks more even.

Very nice results

Retinol

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Vichy to test. I used retinol before and this is my fav ingredient. Works great on pigmentations and prone to acne skin. I build up my retinol routine so I could used every second day in night routine. Cream is really good because has great ingredients and it isn’t very thick. For end results you have to wait longer but after two weeks my skin looks better than before.

Great cream for reducing pigmentation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been suffering from dark spots and hyperpigmentation most of my life, mainly due to post-acne marks and sun damage during my teen age (yes, guilty as charged, I didn’t like using high SPF as a teenager). I recently tried Vichy Liftactive B3 pure retinol night cream, and I’m impressed with so far results! This new night cream seems to be able to lighten the dark spots and hyperpigmentation appearance over the course of 3 weeks since I started using it. My skin tone looks brighter and more even and radiant. It also have lifting effects. I love the texture, which is so lightweight and cooling. The cream contains Niacinamide (also known as vitamin B3, that’s why the range is called B3) which brighten the skin complexion. It also contains pure retinol, so it’s recommended to use hight SPF every morning after using this night cream.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Vichy LIFTACTIV B4 tjr correcting night cream, pure retinol for a couple of weeks now. It came at the prefect time for me to test as I had been looking for a new retinol based product to fade my post acne marks which would be effective yet not as harsh on my skin. I was presently surprised as I have been using this cream a couple nights a week and I have noticed lightning on my post acne marks and a much smoother texture. Which am still very surrised. Results at last

So gentle

The texture of the cream is quite thick so a little goes a long way and after applying it my skin felt really hydrated and looked shiny, which didn’t bother me at all as it’s a night cream. The next morning my skin looked really radiant and I didn’t feel any irritation due to the retinol at all! Fantastic night cream

Not keen on the texture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to have been sent this cream to test. I have mature skin with pigmentation. I’ve only been using it for a few weeks so can’t give a thorough review yet but I’m not keen on the texture.its a thick cream but has a slight greasiness to the finish which I’m not keen on. It does sink in overnight though. I haven’t noticed any reduction in the pigmentation yet but it’s still early days. I haven’t had any reaction from the retinol so that’s a definite plus. There is a bit of scent but not too strong. I may be using too much product so am going to reduce the amount I apply and will see how that goes.

This is another amazing product from Vichy. which I was sent to try out for being a member of Vichy Customer Community. So hydrating!

I have been using this product for more than two weeks now and I am really in love with its hydration power, as well as its ability to make my skin look glowy and plump. The packaging is, as always, super stylish, love the colours chosen and the fact that all they key ingredients are clearly written and mentioned. I have combination to oily skin, with quite a lot of imperfections and despite this, my skin felt super refreshed and amazingly hydrated. It almost feels like a night mask instead of a normal cream, as it deeply nourishes my skin without leaving it with oily residues. Using it as per packaging is important, all went well, my skin loved it. Love the fact that it is suitable for all types of skin as well as the fact that it is hypoallergenic.

Brigther, smoother skin

I've been using it for 2 weeks now, as adviced: 2 times in the first week and every other night in the second week. After the first application I noticed a few (slightly) red marks on my skin but in the morning everything was back to normal. It looks like my skin has tolerated pure retinol and I haven't experienced any bad reactions since then. This night cream has a nice consistency and it is fast absorbing. Just a little bit goes a long way. I already can see an improvement in the texture and the tone of my skin. My skin looks smoother and more radiant; it feels soft and well hydrated. I cannot wait to see the results when I start using it every night (this week) and after finishing the jar.

Smoother, even skintone

I've been using the Vichy LiftActiv Night Cream with Retinol for nearly three weeks now. Whilst I'm not new to Retinols I am to this range so I followed the instructions and actually carried out a patch test too just in case. Firstly the texture of this cream is so luxurious on my skin, it has a silky buttery feel to it which glides onto my skin, it absorbs quickly without leaving any greasy residue which is great as at night I don't like my creams to feel too sticky. I've noticed improvements in my skintone, texture and firmness since incorporating this into my evening routine. Retinol is definitely amazing for decreasing fine lines and wrinkles, my skin has a smoother appearance and areas where it was uneven looks overrall one tone. I'm really pleased with the results thus far, I will continue to use this every evening to see much more longer term results. I would highly recommend this night cream for anyone who is new to Retinols and is looking to level up their night time skincare routine with active ingredients.

Gentle and effective

I was excited to try this night cream as it targets even skin tone and pigmentation, which are my main skin concerns. I was concerned that the retinol would be harsh on my skin and may damage my skin barrier because it was the first time I was using it but it wasn't the case.My skin adapted very very well with retional and it wasn't harsh at all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Vichy liftactive B3 &retinol night cream 50ml . Pale pinky peach cream smells gorgeous, is very rich and luxurious on my skin. I started using this and worked my way up to nightly , first wk was two nights a wk , then every other night then I will be using nightly as directed which this is the start of my third week. So far my skin is firmer and seems in better condition ,less sun spot damage so this is fabulous. Yes I recommend this cream. This product is hypoallergenic so my sensitive combination skin has been fine ,I think it is important to follow the instructions though and build up. I also avoid getting it near my eyes as they can be sensitive ,plus I made sure I used SPF 50 during the day to make sure there's no chance of sun reaction. #VichySkinSociete @vichylaboratories

Great results

Small improvements in pigmentation already

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this night cream as it specifically targets pigmentation and wrinkles, which are both skin concerns of mine. I was initially a bit concerned that the retinol would be harsh on my skin as the instructions said to use it no more than twice in the first week but actually my skin tolerated it really well and love the creamy texture and how nourishing it feels on my facial skin. So far I’ve seen some improvements in my pigmentation which I hope will only continue with prolonged usage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pleased with this cream. I like its texture, it melts into skin and moisturises it, leaving it soft and hydrated. It has a yellow tint to it, as it contains retinol. Retinol is key in aging support, acne relief and overall skin rejuvenation. This cream contains 0,15% of pure retinol. I think this potency is ideal for beginner users. This formula also contains niacinamide or Vitamin B3 that fades dark spots, improves the skin's collagen production and reduces the look of wrinkles and lines. Having used it for about a fortnight, I noticed that my complexion got more even and skin texture visibly improved. I can also see a noticeable reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. My skin became smoother, firmer, and more youthful in appearance. This formulation of retinol is very gentle on the skin and caused no skin irritation.

Liftactiv B3 Retinol Night Cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This retinol night cream comes inside a red glass jar with a blue plastic lid. The jar is opaque so it protects the active ingredients inside. This night cream is a pale yellow in colour with a gel-cream texture and I didn't notice any obvious fragrance. It contains the active ingredients: pure retinol 0.15% and niacinamide (B3) 4%. Used in combination, these ingredients can help with discolouration and hyperpigmentation. I have combination skin which is blemish prone and generally tolerates retinol products well. I've been using this night cream every other night. If you have very sensitive skin or are not used to using pure retinol products, I would advise using this cream less frequently to see how your skin responds. One evening, I used this after using an AHA mask and noticed that my skin was slightly sensitised around my cheeks so I would avoid using this cream with other actives or use them on alternate evenings. I would also recommend using a high SPF product during the daytime to protect your skin because products containing retinol can make your skin photosensitive. After using this night cream for about a week, I've noticed that my skin tone is looking more even although the result is quite subtle. I think with continued, longer-term use I might achieve a better result. I also noticed that my skin texture has improved and looks more refined and smoother. I will continue to use this cream until the jar is finished to see how my skin might improve further. #ad up-front. I received this product for free to test and review.

Light night cream which doesn’t irritate the skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky to receive this as part of the Vichy community to try . This is a great retinol night cream i am using which has caused no irritation or sensitivity to my skin. It has a faint scent when you use it and the yellow cream is a lovely silky light consistency which easily absorbs into my skin. I have hyperpigmentation and dark spots so i was eager to see how this will help reduce them. I have been noticing that my dark spots are looking a little lighter and my skin is definitely feeling smooth and softer. It’s important to use an SPF especially with this , though i use one everyday anyway to protect your skin from further damage. I can’t wait to see how my skin improves over the coming weeks.

What I noticed first about this cream is it's silky and light consistency. It looks a pale yellow and does not have much of a smell which I like in skincare. I have oily combination skin thar is prone to hyperpigmentation when I have breakouts. These dark marks take months to disappear if not treated. I have been using this cream over the past week. It absorbs really easily and does not leave my skin feeling sticky or greasy. Already I have noticed how soft my skin feels in the morning. My skin feels so smooth and my dark marks are starting to fade. I make sure I wear spf every day. This is recommended in the packaging, (spf over 30), but I wear spf every day anyway. This cream contains niacinamide and retinol which are active ingredients that target pigmentation and skin surface renewal. The key differences I'm noticing from using this cream is the smoothness and balance of my skin. I'll definitely keep using this cream as it's helping my skin so much.

Lovely Gentle Retinol Cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This retinol didn't cause me any irritation at all. I love the fact there is niacinamide in with it, this saves me a step in my routine! It is a cream but very lightweight, almost like a gel-cream. This felt great for my oily skin. It is a bit too early to say if it will help with aging and dark marks but my skin does feel brighter after using. I don't believe this product is cruelty free which is a negative for me.

I love this!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been trying for a while to improve my uneven skin tone and I have found that this cream does a great job at combating my hyperpigmentation and dark marks. Initially I used this cream twice a week and now I use it every other night because it is quite a potent product and I needed to build up a tolerance to it. I really look forward to applying this cream as part of my routine because it feels high-quality and luxurious, has a subtle but pleasing fragrance, has a thick, creamy texture that melts into the skin and each time I use it my skin looks better and better. I think this is my favourite retinol product and I would definitely recommend trying it!

I am already a fan of Liftactiv products and daily use for liftactiv day cream for the last 3 years. First week I only used 2 days which were Monday and Thursday. I have targeted mostly on top of my dark patches but generous enough for all over my face. So far I haven't had any bad experiences with it. I Like it has a velvety texture and hydration. Loved the smells. Second week I used it every other night and the next day I always used my moisturizer and sun screens. I have noticed on my face some more even skin tone and radiant skin So far I haven't noticed any negative outcome with the product. As a postmenopausal woman my face feels rejuvenated for my age. Definitely recommended for women and men. First week you will notice the difference yourself. Thank you Vichy, it was nice experience

Good cream

This is my first time trying this product, although I have tried a few Vichy products before, and loved them all. Normally, I use night creams every night, even on first use, but this one says to just use twice a week in the first week, then every other night in the second week, followed thereafter, every night, providing there are no bad reactions, obviously. I guess this gradual use is because of the retinol in the cream, which can give reactions to some skin if used too much at the beginning. I do use retinol quite often so my skin is quite used to it by now, nevertheless, I followed the instructions to the letter for the purposes of the trial. It's also important to remember to use a suncream during the day as retinol makes it easier for your skin to burn. I didn't really notice any difference after the first week, but after the second, I can definitely see signs of improvement in the appearance of the tone, only a little, but it's a start. The cream itself is a pale yellow, quite creamy, but light in texture. It does tend to leave my skin feeling a little greasy after application and takes a while to absorb, but when it does, it really leaves my skin feeling softer and smoother. I'm optimistic that this will give even better results after more use. My skin is combination and can be sensitive at times, but I have had no problems with the product at all so far. With 4% Niacinamide (vitamin B3) and 0.15% Pure Retinol this cream is formulated to promote skin surface renewal and correct the appearance of skin pigmentation. Night time is the ideal time to use this kind of product as pigmentation can be accelerated during the day due to environmental factors, so night is the ideal time to target hyper pigmented skin. Use - Apply preferably after the Vichy B3 serum for Dark Spots & Wrinkles for best results. Week one - apply twice during the week Week Two - apply every other night Week Three onwards use nightly or as much as skin tolerates. Every morning, after using the previous evening, use an SPF 30 or higher. Thoughts - As user of Retinol anyway, I substituted this as part of my evening routine, the apricot coloured cream has a great skin feel and absorbs nicely, skin looks smoother and feels softer and deeply hydrated, this cream is a great addition to the Liftactiv B3 range of products. I can see this cream becoming a firm part of my nightly skincare routine. It is important to build skin tolerance and use the product according to the information on the packaging. During the day, you should use a cream with a high sun protection factor. Works through the night

Not for the damaged skin barrier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have a damaged skin barrier, new to retinols or have extremely sensitive skin I'd be very weary with this product and would apply a little amount over the week. Did feel like my skin seemed fresher afterwards but could feel the drying affect through the first few days.
