Doesn't leave skin feeling dry

My normal cleanser can leave my skin feeling tight after use but this one doesn't, and my skin feels cleansed and moisturised. I personally prefer a cleanser that foams up on use, which this does not, but it doesn't mean it's any less effective. Overall I'm satisfied with this cleanser and will continue to use it.

Not Sufficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried this cleanser before, this was before its reformulation, so when I received this cleanser from #hometesterclub I was apprehensive but still intrigued. After using this cleanser for the proscribed time, I have found it to be much the same as before, the cleanser does now cleanse, a residue is left on the skin, not matter how much you wash your face (which you're not supposed to do over and over) the product remains on your skin, it can cause clogged pores and any product you apply on top (serums, moisturisers and sunscreen) of it doesn't sink in, because the cleanser has created a film. I would not recommend this cleanser.

Lightweight cleanser

Gentle and Hydrating

My skin feels much better and works well with my moisturiser, I feel I retain the moisturiser for much longer. I still use a cleanser to take off my makeup up but I also like to wash my face to make sure it is clean and this product is great doing it in a gentle way. Not for me.

After using it and washing my face if I didn't put the moisturiser straight away, my skin felt tense and kind of dry. I also have noticed dry patches on my skin which hasn't happened in years! It may be connected to extremely hot weather but I do use SPF as well as other products on my face. I didn't like the milky texture either, I do prefer when I have a little bit of foam.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

Its for normal to dry skin and don't get that dry feeling after using it. Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for the CeraVe hydrating cleanser but I was so disappointed. I don’t like to give 1 stars but I couldn’t find any positives about it. First of all it didn’t take my makeup off and I didn’t have a lot on. Secondly it made my skin so dry. Normally my skin is normal, slightly on the dry side but this seemed to strip every bit of moisture from my skin barrier. It felt dry and very tight. Maybe it might be good for someone with oily skin but It’s a no for me unfortunately.

The best Hydra cleanser with ceramides

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this cleanser for about 15 days and it really hydrates the skin. You can tell the difference in the very first wash. It cleanses skin very well and leaves it super soft, hydrated, plumped and glowy. Overtime I noticed, it reduces fine lines too. The fact that it's non-comedogenic, makes it ideal for acne prone, normal to dry skin. I loved the results, texture, and the fact that it has no fragrance and is super gentle on sensitive skin. A staple for your skincare!

I really like this cleanser, I’ve been using it for past six months now. I will typically wash my face once a day in the evening. I always make sure my face is damp first, then I use one pump and lather it into my hands before applying it. I usually cleanse for a minute before rinsing off. It leaves my skin feeling really clean and refreshed without that tight, dry feeling that other cleanses do. I have quite sensitive skin and I find this cleanser to be really gentle and doesn’t irritate my skin. Overall, I think it’s a great budget friendly cleanser!

Cleanses without drying the skin

The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is used by my whole family as we all have dry skin, hence the large 1 litre size that we have purchased. It contains Hyaluronic Acid and 3 essential Ceramides to nourish the skin. It's non-foaming so it won't dry out your skin further but is effective enough to gently cleanse the skin and remove all dirt. I use it in the shower for both the face and body instead of a shower gel. With this cerave cleanser, my skin no longer feels tight after washing.

Lightweight cleanser

Hydrating cleanser caused break out

Have used this cleanser for years and feel that it is excellent. Skin always felt clean and smooth. Think there may have been a change of formula as caused a massive break out of spots. I have only had about 1 spot in the last 20 years so a break out of 6 awful spots was a nightmare. Changed cleanser to the foaming cleanser and no spots since.

My new favourite cleanser

Recently purchased this as part of a new skincare routine ahead of my wedding. Reasonably priced for it's size, this cleanser is lovely and smooth to apply, it feels hydrating as soon as you use it, and once rinsed off does not leave your skin feeling tight like some can.

I have been using cerave hydrating cleanser since 2 years . This product has been my all time favorite because it doesn’t make my skin dry and flaky. The best cleanser so far for dry skin..

I have super dry skin and I started using this Facewash on my sister's recommendation this winters. I am extremely impressed as my skin always gets patchy and cracked every winters but this time this product saved me. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is a very gentle, hydrating cleanser. It doesn't foam at all and gently cleanses without leaving a tight feeling. It contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid, so after washing, skin is left smooth and hydrated. Suitable for normal, dry, and sensitive skin. I only used it after micellar water and another cleanser. Just to add some hydration. It doesn't always remove heavy makeup! You should definitely remove your makeup with a different cleanser. Overall, this is an excellent daily cleanser for those who value gentle and delicate cleansing.

This is my go to product in the winter when I have dry sensitive skin. It is a gentle cleanser that’s refreshing morning and evening. Helps with dry patches on my face but I personally wouldn’t use this in the summer when my face is a little oily.

The Cleanser That Truly Works for Me

CeraVe is the cleanser that’s best worked for me. It clears my skin without irritation, redness, or tightness. Not the best for combo skin

This felt really gentle but didn’t give me that properly cleansed feeling on my combination skin. I think it would suit someone with drier skin better.

Leaves skin hydrated and clean.

This is one of my go to cleansers. It’s scent free and has a gentle formula. It always leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated. I would recommend to others, the bottle lasts and is good value for money.

Doesn’t remove make-up or mascara

After applying this product and rinsing with water, make-up and mascara were still on my face. Nothing was removed until I wiped my face with a towel. Same experience for three consecutive nights … this isn’t a product I can use as a facial cleanser. Very odd!

Nice cleanser

I bought this product when it was on promotional offer as I do love ceraVe products. It was a nice cleanser and did leave my face feeling fresh. However I didn’t like the results as much as the ceraVe SA smoothing cleanser from ceraVe. I probably wouldn’t purchase this product again purely because I preferred the other cleanser. But I would say it is still a good all round product.

Very moistersing cleanser

I really like this cleanser, for a face wash it has a ery luxurious feel, it cleanses really well and leaves your skin super soft and feeling moisterised, not dry like some washes. It also cleanses really well and leaves your skin feeling comfortable. It is especially kind to my acne prone skin and does not cause break outs. I only removed 1 star as in the summer I noticed my skin can look a little oily after use but it is perfect for using in the winter months for extra moister.

Good cleanser

Good cleanser but not perfect. Sometimes I need a cleaner sensation for that reason this is not my go to. But I can’t complain also because it’s nice with your skin.

A very good product

A very good product with a light and creamy texture, perfect for combination skin. It cleanses gently and leaves the skin soft and velvety. I also love the neutral scent, which makes it even more pleasant to use. I apply it both morning and evening, and I am very satisfied with the results.

Used daily and find that it hydrates well. Used on the face and it feels gentle but also cleanses effectively. I like cerave products and think they are priced moderately for effective products. Worth a go

Not impressed

Is OK I guess.... it cleanse well but leaves a feeling of oils on my face at the ent that I didn't necessarily enjoyed. The bottle does goo a very long way. I liked more the light blue one the blemishes control
