Do not use - fragrance in it and burns sensitives
I tried to do as much research on this as possible but got it home and it has a fragrance. Why!! Why does it need a fragrance when it’s helping acne prone skin which is sensitive too. I love this brand but the need to put a fragrance in random serums or products is dangerous. This burnt my skin. Full stop. Do not recommend

Not recommend
Bought this one together with the EFFCLAR DUO Moisturiser to try to fix my blemish prone skin. It doesn’t work very well and makes my skin sensitive with small red dots.

Cleared scaring and imperfections
Literally LOVE! After a long and rough period of anxiety popping/picking at my face I was left feeling even more anxious at the sight and state of my skin. I have tired so many products from budget friendly to extremely expensive and it either didn’t work or my face would break out. I was so sceptical because I had literally lost all hope in finding the perfect product… but here I am three weeks using this serum and loving it.

My skin got irritated
I have bought this product for my acne scars and to have better complexion and been using this for 2 weeks and the other day my face was started burning, and swelling around my eyes, itching and my face is so rough. I could not go out without face mask because my face is too swollen. I have been using any other lacroche posay products and this us the first time happened to me.

The best serum for prone acne skin
I am absolutely thrilled with this serum! To be honest, I've tried numerous products in the past, but none have had the transformative effect that this serum has. It truly works wonders. Not for sensitive skin!
I have a sensitive skin so normally I only use toleriane range, but got a sample of this effaclar serum and decided to use it on my chin where I get blemishes. The moment I put it on, I felt a terrible burning sensation as if my chin was on fire. I washed it off straight away but the burning sensation stayed for a while! This certainly isn't a product for sensitive skin.

Drying
I am prone to breakouts around my chin and jaw area. I use other Effaclar products which work really well.
This product unfortunately does my skin out a lot, mostly around my cheekbones and towards my eyes. It also caused a tingling sensation and redness on my cheeks when applied initially.
I like the texture, and it seems to absorb well.

Not sticky, well absorbed.
I love this serum. It is one of the best serum of all serum of the La Roche range. Not sticky, well absorbed. It leaves the skin soft the following day. You can layer it with sunblock and leaves not fluff or flakes.

Game changer
Love this stuff! For a nurse in her mid fifties with 40 years of breakouts this has been a game changer. Wearing N95 masks for 12 hours was making my skin so much worse so I started asking in nurses online forums how people were combatting “maskne” and this serum was popular. My skin is now the best it’s ever been, I’ve started using their other products too. Love love love.

I like it

Helped remove pimple but left mark
I got this product from a friend who didn’t use it & I had been wanting to try this brand for a while so i gave it go. I applied it on the affected areas , and while it did help remove the pimple i now have a dark spot from where i applied it. It’s like a chemical burn from it, im not sure if it was due to how I used it or if it’s just the product itself.

Skin changer
I have been using this product for a month now and what a game changer. I had acne breakout out of the blue, doctor prescribed antibiotics and I went to pharmacy and got this serum to speed up clearing up process. From terrible breakout to great skin in about 10 days. Before this breakout, I always had textured skin with small imperfections and now when I touch my face I can’t believe what this serum has done for me. My skin never looked and felt better! Acne gone, imperfections gone and skin tone drastically improved. Love it!!

Works like magic
I use retinol cream, Niacinamide cream at night and in the morning I use EFFACLAR ANTI-ACNE Serum. Only then I noticed an amazing result! Bought repeat bottle. Skin is so even and there are no little bumps of irrigation! Skin feels like I have a mask on. Love it!

Good product
I have been using this product for about 3 weeks. I use it as part of my nighttime routine. It does tingle when applied but goes on smooth and absorbs fast. I would give this 5 stars but I really don’t like the smell- it reminds me of cleaning fluid.

Used for six weeks, little impact
I bought this a couple of months ago and used it as per the instructions for six week. It did make my skin texture a little better but did absolutely nothing to help with my acne.

Hi Becca, Thank you for your feedback. Acne can be a challenging condition and we do appreciate that it can take a bit of trial and error in combating it. For boosted anti-acne efficacy you may combine the serum with the Effaclar Duo (+) Anti-Acne Moisturiser. However, we recommend you start by introducing it a 2-3 times a week to establish skin tolerance. We recommend consulting with your dermatologist or healthcare professional for advice specific to your skin situation. Good quality product.
Great addition to my skin routine. Leaves a bit of a sticky feel, but given the other products I use dry my skin out a lot, I don’t mind it too much. I use it in particular areas sometimes instead of on the entire face, and it’s been good for that as well.

surprisingly actually worked
use every night and some mornings on my face, blemishes eased or were gone within a week or two. blackheads are still a work in progress around the chin area but its made a difference. have eased off on using the serum on top of cheeks (below eyes) as my skin there can be quite sensitive / redness and dry out easier then rest of my face but overall has improved my skin and pimple problem! i also use an 'ASAP' clenser before and a 'go-to' serum/ moisturiser to keep my skin from drying out.

My Skin has never been clearer.
This feels light, non-greasy, and leaves my skin feeling soft & supple. All my pimples are gone after a couple of weeks - even small bumps that I'd feel when washing my face Love this product!

As with introducing any active ingredient, it is often a good idea to introduce the serum slowly, using one or two nights a week and increasing usage frequency only once tolerated. Magic in a bottle!!!
I struggled with hormonal acne since my early 20’s to now (mid 20’s).
For the first time in ages I wake up acne free with 1 or two odd little breakouts.
I will never use anything else, this serum has changed my life. I went from hiding indoors and covering with heaps of foundation, to going makeup free and blemish free! Let the before and after photos speak for themselves.

Love it love it love it
I have been using the Effaclar serum for about 2 weeks now and I cannot believe how much my skin has improved. I am prone to acne breakouts as well as dry, flaky skin. I had tried every product under the sun but found that most moisturising masks and serums would just aggravate my pimples. The Effaclar serum worked instantly. My skin is so clear and hydrated. My pimples are gone. I am using in conjunction with the Effaclar Duo+ and my skin absolutely loves it. I am so happy with these products!

Works the best!!!!
Started seeing differences in my skin from the very first use. It is the only brand to which my sensitive skin didn't react to adversely. Definitely recommend this brand and product for sensitive and acne prone/ scarred skin.

Perfect really works
I got this for my daughter who was getting little bumps everywhere under her skin on her nose and forehead that sometimes would break out into pimples. After using it for a week they almost all disappeared. Some left on her forehead but not as noticeable or breaking out. I think it stopped her from developing bad acne.

Must buy
I bought this after reading the positive reviews regarding acne and scarring. After trying many other products over the years for hormonal acne I didn’t have high hopes this would be any different. I’m blown away by the results. In under two weeks my acne has pretty much cleared up and the scars are slowly fading also. I can’t recommend this enough for anyone struggling with acne.
