Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately we're unable to provide personal recommendations. Please contact our Consumer Affairs helpline on 1300 101 411 (open 8am-5pm AEST, Mon to Sat), or email: [email protected] - be sure to keep an eye on your spam/junk folder for any missing responses. Alternatively, you can reach out to our team on Live Chat (8am-5pm AEST, Monday to Friday) via our website, look out for the orange tab on the side of your screen/device. Breakouts can be a sign that a product is not suitable for your skin, however if you're noticing an increase in whiteheads, blackheads, or pimples, this can alternatively be your skin purging. Purging is often common when introducing products into your routine that contain chemical exfoliants. Where these ingredients assist with skin exfoliation and cell turnover, as a result the skin can be triggered and will purge. Our Effaclar formulas utilise key chemical exfoliants like alpha- and beta-hydroxy acids, therefore your skin may be purging as a result of beginning usage of these products. To help identify whether your skin is purging or breaking out, the following article may be of assistance: https://www.laroche-posay.com.au/blog/skin-purging-vs-breakout-how-to-tell-the-difference.html Please note that patience and consistency are key - it can take up to 4-6 weeks to see the full impact of results (as skin cells take time to turn over). You may see continued blemishes in this time that were already in development. We hope this helps. Best wishes La Roche-Posay AU/NZ

reaction

i brought this product with such high hopes since it's going viral, but after my 3rd application my skin was red, itchy, lumpy, i was up at 2am washing my face to cool it down! i had a day break from it then thought i'd try it again, i haven't such a reaction again but my skin is soo dry and peeling, patches of really dry rough bits too., i'm just unsure what i'm doing wrong.. i cleanse then put only the tiniest amount on. i keep using it with hopes my skin might of just been purging or something but if the dryness doesn't start clearing up i guess il call it quits

A meh... product

Block pores, I'm afraid I couldn't see improvement and it actually worsen the acne I had near my jaw line. This moisturizer doesn't really absorb into the skin but rather form a thin film? I think that's why it block the pores

It got rid of my husband’s beard rash

My husband used to get skin peeling and redness from his own stubble (like Rosacea). If he uses K+ every 2 days it clears up. Also helped with my sebaceous acne on my jaw line.

Caused premature ageing

I have oily/combination skin and have looked after it well after having bad skin as a teenager. I religiously wear sunscreen, do my skin routine twice a day and never wear make up to bed. My skin is quite clear now with only the occasional breakout. I used this product to see if it would help with the oiliness on my forehead and if it would help clear out blocked pores across my nose and cheeks. It worked across my nose and cheeks but when I applied it to my forehead (product says all over face is fine) it has caused shallow lines on my forehead that were not there before. I thought this would go a way after a few uses as there are some strong ingredients in this product but every time I used it these shallow lines have deepened. As I could see the product had begun to dry out my clogged areas of my nose and cheeks I can see that it works. However, it is far too strong of a product to use in your late 20's in my opinion. It dried out my forehead and although after discontinuing use my skin has improved these shallow lines have never truly gone away. I would not recommend this product unless you want to risk prematurely ageing your skin.

This is amazing!

I'm so happy I found this! I have really dry skin and loads of blackheads. I use this on my t-zone and nose and use a different moisturiser for other areas on my face, so they don't get too dry. So far this has significantly tightened my pores and really helps preventing blackheads, especially after a deep clean. It doesn't make my skin too dry of anything so I am quite pleased I found it!

Amazing non drying acne products

What is the difference between this product and the acne moisturiser? They seem very similar. Love both products.

Excellent moisturizer!

I bought this moisturizer for this first time 2 weeks ago and it's the best I've found in 10 years. This is the only product I've tried that actually improves your skin underneath your foundation. Whereas other moisturizer work, the oil and shine is still there, and when a blemish arises, they always keep developing. I was quite astounded to find this product has made numerous blemishes disappear completely, leaving the pores clear and refunded. Any blemishes seem to heal and disappear quicker using this moisturizer daily under foundation. Also works perfectly as a primer... so better skin and your makeup still looks tip top. My face is less blotchy, more mattified, hydrated and clear. I've mentioned it to my male partner and even he would love me to buy him a tube to test out for himself. All the good products seem to come out of France.

Caused Horrible Breakouts

I have generally very oily skin and clogged pores, but I haven't really had acne since I was in my teen years. Within a week of using this product, my chin and cheeks broke out like crazy. Large, painful pimples that stuck around for weeks - until I stopped using the product. The pores on my nose looked even worse and my cheeks were all bumpy.

Great Product

I have just bought this for my son and he has been using it for 2 weeks. He is also on antibiotics prescribed by the doctor. It seems to be helping but it has really dried his skin out. Should he maybe alternate using this and one of the other moisturisers? Is it do drying perhaps using everyday? He is using the Effaclar cleansing foam everday as well. I really love to know what you suggest as I can see it is helping but it is really drying his skin out.

Help!!

I have really sensitive combination acne prone skin and decided to give this a go after hearing great things! When I first started to use it I was really pleased with how it helped my t-zone areas and it really reduced my shine and the amount of blackheads on my forehead.. but after using it for a few weeks it has really over dried my skin and left the side of my nose and the area around my mouth and chin peeling! Not sure if this has ever happened to anyone else! Just wondering if you can suggest one of your moisturiser that maybe more suitable for acne prone skin that is also dry and sensitive in areas? Thanks
