Just amazing product love it so much!!
I bought this two weeks ago and I saw amazing results within 2 days! I am absoululty in love and it has helped my skin so much. I struggle with large pores and blackheads as well as chin and cheek acne and this is absoulty amazing!!! I will never be going back to any other skin care after this! I also used the effacular duo +m anti imperfections moistuizer and that helps a lot too. Would recommend to anyone with the same problems!!

Burnt my skin!
I’m 42 and embarrassingly recently got scammed into the hype of Korean skincare. Unfortunately, my skin did not like it at all and broke me out all over my chin. So, I went back to basics and bought this and the moisturiser in the tester pack, hoping that it would be easy on my skin but effective and clearing the acne. After 3 washes, I ended up with significant dry, scaly patches and 2 burns the size of a 5 cent coin.

Effaclar + M Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser
I was so happy to find the good product but after using only 3 times got disappointed! This product burned my skin. it's definitely not for sensitive skin!
Only 2 Stars because I liked the smell.

would not recommended
really disappointed in this product. there is no indication on the packaging that it is most suitable for oily skin. as someone with acne prone skin, i thought this would be great (as this is what the packaging implies). it has completely destroyed my skin, causing me to struggle with eczema which i have never had. i look in the mirror and cry at the state of my skin.

Terrible, smells awful, leaves skind feeling tight
I bought this because Toleriane Softening Foaming Gel Cleanser was discontinued (which I have used for years, loved and have recommended to many people who also loved it). I loved the Toleraine, I hate this.
1) it stinks, the smell is a nasty fake floral smell mixed with eau de hospital
2) it leaves skin feeling awful
Will not buy again, will not recommend, will need to change brands I guess. Terrible decision by La Roche Possay to discontinue the Toleriane Softening Foaming Gel Cleanser

Has the formula changed?
I have been using LaRoche Posay for a few years now and was in love. Last week I switched from the 200ml to the pump pack 400ml. The first thing I noticed is the smell which was off putting and new. Also my face is becoming oily again which it had not been for quite some time. I am not sure if the return of oiliness is because I also tried the green face twice or a formula change as the smell would indicate. Hoping the formulas havent changed for my duo and moisturiser.

The best cleanser
I am 65and have very oily and sensitive skin. I don't have acne and never have but everything I use on my face gives me pimple like lumps - except this!. My skin is not oily and I never get a lump. It's the best cleanser I've ever used. The price is reasonable and will last me a couple of months using twice daily.

bought a week ago after my other cleanser ran out and have only been using it for that time, it made my skin break out so bad and get dermatitis on my eyelids. not acne prone and not suitable for sensitive skin.

Made my acne worse
I bought this a month ago and had really high hopes for it since I have used La roche posay products in the past and loved them. My acne has gotten 10 times worse than it’s ever been. The pimples and red marks will not go away either. My skin is absolutely terrible

Not as good as the original
I don't like this new "+M" formulation, as it feels way more stripping and 'soapy', it irritates my skin and leaves it more dry and blotchy red compared to the original cleanser (which was my ride or die for 8+ years!). For reference, I have combination, sensitive and acne-prone skin. Really hope they don't discontinue the original one, otherwise I'm going to have to find a new cleanser.

Not suitable for sensitive skin
I bought this cleanser last week as I heard great things however it did not work for me at all. It made my breakouts worse, my skin is covered in tiny bumps and spots. My skin is now incredibly dry, flakey and irritated. My boyfriend tried this cleanser too and it also left his skin red and irritated. I’m disappointed in this product as I usually love La Roche Posay.

Didn’t work on my sons sensitive skin.
I bought this for my 16 year old son, he has sensitive skin. It actually dried up his skin, made it irritated, blotchy and now it’s peeling.

Acne sufferers rejoice

Worth it
I have always had very oily and acne prone skin. Since using this product, my acne has reduced to almost non-existant. It is something you need to commit to but it is totally worth it. Plus it is very gentle on the skin.

Not great for sensitive skin
I have really sensitive skin, and I thought this product would be alright as it says it is for sensitive skin, but unfortunately I’ve had a reaction and my skin has become really dry and inflamed. As much as I wanted to like and use this, I’ve had to discontinue use. Also the quote about fragrance is a little misleading as this product does have fragrance in it, so keep that in mind

Not great for really sensitive skin
I realllly wanted to like this as my acne has been playing up so much, but unfortunately my skin has had a reaction to this product and it has left really annoying dry patches on my face, I’m guessing it’s from the fragrance as my skin has begun to sting/tingle after/while using it. Agh, I’m so annoyed because I’ve heard such good things about it. Like, yes my skin is really sensitive, but I did have hope in the product claims.

Great for oily, acne-prone skin but very drying
I bought this a few weeks ago and loved it at first to clear up some acne around my T-zone and hairline but then my face got very dry, red and flaky. Upon closer look of the ingredients, I can see it contains common irritants including coco-betaine, PEG, sulfate and fragrance. I will discontinue use immediately and would not recommend to anyone with sensitive skin.
