Just amazing product love it so much!!
I bought this two weeks ago and I saw amazing results within 2 days! I am absoululty in love and it has helped my skin so much. I struggle with large pores and blackheads as well as chin and cheek acne and this is absoulty amazing!!! I will never be going back to any other skin care after this! I also used the effacular duo +m anti imperfections moistuizer and that helps a lot too. Would recommend to anyone with the same problems!!

Burnt my skin!
I’m 42 and embarrassingly recently got scammed into the hype of Korean skincare. Unfortunately, my skin did not like it at all and broke me out all over my chin. So, I went back to basics and bought this and the moisturiser in the tester pack, hoping that it would be easy on my skin but effective and clearing the acne. After 3 washes, I ended up with significant dry, scaly patches and 2 burns the size of a 5 cent coin.

Effaclar + M Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser
I was so happy to find the good product but after using only 3 times got disappointed! This product burned my skin. it's definitely not for sensitive skin!

would not recommended
really disappointed in this product. there is no indication on the packaging that it is most suitable for oily skin. as someone with acne prone skin, i thought this would be great (as this is what the packaging implies). it has completely destroyed my skin, causing me to struggle with eczema which i have never had. i look in the mirror and cry at the state of my skin.

Terrible, smells awful, leaves skind feeling tight
I bought this because Toleriane Softening Foaming Gel Cleanser was discontinued (which I have used for years, loved and have recommended to many people who also loved it). I loved the Toleraine, I hate this.
1) it stinks, the smell is a nasty fake floral smell mixed with eau de hospital
2) it leaves skin feeling awful
Will not buy again, will not recommend, will need to change brands I guess. Terrible decision by La Roche Possay to discontinue the Toleriane Softening Foaming Gel Cleanser

Has the formula changed?
I have been using LaRoche Posay for a few years now and was in love. Last week I switched from the 200ml to the pump pack 400ml. The first thing I noticed is the smell which was off putting and new. Also my face is becoming oily again which it had not been for quite some time. I am not sure if the return of oiliness is because I also tried the green face twice or a formula change as the smell would indicate. Hoping the formulas havent changed for my duo and moisturiser.

The best cleanser
I am 65and have very oily and sensitive skin. I don't have acne and never have but everything I use on my face gives me pimple like lumps - except this!. My skin is not oily and I never get a lump. It's the best cleanser I've ever used. The price is reasonable and will last me a couple of months using twice daily.

bought a week ago after my other cleanser ran out and have only been using it for that time, it made my skin break out so bad and get dermatitis on my eyelids. not acne prone and not suitable for sensitive skin.

Made my acne worse
I bought this a month ago and had really high hopes for it since I have used La roche posay products in the past and loved them. My acne has gotten 10 times worse than it’s ever been. The pimples and red marks will not go away either. My skin is absolutely terrible

Not as good as the original
I don't like this new "+M" formulation, as it feels way more stripping and 'soapy', it irritates my skin and leaves it more dry and blotchy red compared to the original cleanser (which was my ride or die for 8+ years!). For reference, I have combination, sensitive and acne-prone skin. Really hope they don't discontinue the original one, otherwise I'm going to have to find a new cleanser.

Not suitable for sensitive skin
I bought this cleanser last week as I heard great things however it did not work for me at all. It made my breakouts worse, my skin is covered in tiny bumps and spots. My skin is now incredibly dry, flakey and irritated. My boyfriend tried this cleanser too and it also left his skin red and irritated. I’m disappointed in this product as I usually love La Roche Posay.

Didn’t work on my sons sensitive skin.
I bought this for my 16 year old son, he has sensitive skin. It actually dried up his skin, made it irritated, blotchy and now it’s peeling.

Acne sufferers rejoice

Worth it
I have always had very oily and acne prone skin. Since using this product, my acne has reduced to almost non-existant. It is something you need to commit to but it is totally worth it. Plus it is very gentle on the skin.

Not great for sensitive skin
I have really sensitive skin, and I thought this product would be alright as it says it is for sensitive skin, but unfortunately I’ve had a reaction and my skin has become really dry and inflamed. As much as I wanted to like and use this, I’ve had to discontinue use. Also the quote about fragrance is a little misleading as this product does have fragrance in it, so keep that in mind

Not great for really sensitive skin
I realllly wanted to like this as my acne has been playing up so much, but unfortunately my skin has had a reaction to this product and it has left really annoying dry patches on my face, I’m guessing it’s from the fragrance as my skin has begun to sting/tingle after/while using it. Agh, I’m so annoyed because I’ve heard such good things about it. Like, yes my skin is really sensitive, but I did have hope in the product claims.

Great for oily, acne-prone skin but very drying
I bought this a few weeks ago and loved it at first to clear up some acne around my T-zone and hairline but then my face got very dry, red and flaky. Upon closer look of the ingredients, I can see it contains common irritants including coco-betaine, PEG, sulfate and fragrance. I will discontinue use immediately and would not recommend to anyone with sensitive skin.

Hasn't done anything to help my skin :(
I saw good reviews about this cleanser and have moderately bad acne, so i decided to try this cleanser and have been using if for maybe 4 months and to be honest it has probably made my acne worse. It also doesn't feel like it even going into your skin, more just sitting on top compared to other cleansers i've used.

The Effaclar Foaming Gel is a purifying cleanser designed for oily skin, blackheads and mild acne-prone skin. The Effaclar Micro-Peeling Gel Cleanser has additional ingredients such as 2% salicylic acid, and is best suited to those with moderate acne-prone skin. For boosted anti-acne efficacy, customers often combine the cleanser with the Effaclar Duo (+) Anti-Acne Moisturiser. If doing so, it's best to introduce 2-3 times a week to establish skin tolerance. Not impressed
This product was quite disappointing to be honest. I have used this product for over 6 months and have seen no improvement in my skin whatsoever. I even used it on my shoulders and back as I have acne there too, but it did nothing. It is partly my fault as I did not check the ingredients thoroughly, but upon doing so I saw why this cleanser was useless to me. There is no salicylic acid! Not even niacinamide. The only good helpful ingredient in this cleanser is zinc, that's it. It baffles me that there is only ONE ingredient that could help with acne. There is also fragrance, so unnecessary. This cleanser could definitely be improved a lot.

Disappointing
I bought this with other Effaclar products. I was extremely excited to use it. The first few days were okay, but after that, my skin has dried out a lot, skin flaky everywhere. Now, I am not sure which product to buy to fix my skin.

Not for sensitive skin
So disappointed in this product. I took the online scan/photo option they have and was prescribed this face wash, the serozinc, and effaclar K cream which I then all purchased. After a few days my skin started to literally peel around my mouth and nose, and pimples have popped up around my chin (which I never get). I eliminated each product one at a time to work out which was the issue and it looks like it’s the face wash and serozinc. I shattered I bought all these products and can only actually use one of them, which hasn’t even given me the results that is advertised.
If you have sensitive skin stay away from the face wash, it’s so heavily fragranced, and I can’t understand why when most of their other products are fragrance free. Is the assumption that if you have oily skin you can tolerate fragrance? Just find it weird that a company who targets their skincare to those with sensitive skin would have such heavily fragranced products.

Made skin dry and itchy
I had been suing this product for over two years when in the past year I noticed my skin had become more dry and irritated after cleansing. In particular my skin was redder and itchier. I don't use makeup or many other skin care products so I was surprised to know that this 'sensitive' cleanser was the problem. Did it help with acne? For the first year I used it I would say yes, but over time it became the source of it. I wouldn't recommend using once acne has been treated. I've change to a different brand that has oil cleansers which is more soothing and moisturizing than gel or foaming cleansers.

Soft and clear skin, a womans dream!!
I am a 25 year old who has used this perfect foaming gel for 1 year. After hearing that it was for sensitive skin i had to try it as I use La Roche's sensitive sunscreen which is a miracle also. This foaming gel makes my skin feel smooth and has removed the bumps on my skin that i used to get from bad pores. It is beautiful for women who have oily, combination and sensitive skin. There is a light floral scent that makes the skin smell fresh aswell. Thank you La Roche Posay for making something that actually works!!

Not what I expected
I really wanted this product to work and saw the many good reviews, however it dries out my face, especially when I use the effaclar duo spot moisturiser with it. The only thing I liked was its texture and smell. I am tired of spending so much on skincare and have decided to go see a dermatologist.

Life changer!
I tick all 3 boxes - sensitive, oily and acne prone skin. My face was the worst it has ever been in September 2018 (shown in pics). I was recommended this product by a good friend at my local pharmacy. At first, this product made my skin feel very dry but I saw improvements in the acne that was still appearing (not so angry & inflammed looking). I hardly ever write reviews but I wanted to share my experience with others who may need help fighting these blemishes! This is my face in March 2019. Thank you so much La Roche-Posay, for making a life changing product!

Is a good product, but not for everyone!
I bought this product since I had oily sensitive skin and thought that the simple ingredients would really be beneficial for my skin. The first few times I used this product, it felt great and it definitely did its job. It cleansed and removed impurities fine. However, after continual use of the product I found that my skin gradually became really irritated and inflamed. I also found it difficult to layer products after using this cleanser, as it made my skin really dry, sensitive and it sore. After switching it out the product with another, I found that these symptoms went away. I think it was a shame it must've been some ingredient that reacted with mine so badly. But would definitely recommend people give it a go to find out for themselves.

Dried my skin out completely and made acne worse
I bought this and the effaclar duo cream a month ago and was so excited to try it. Within a few days my skin became extremely dry to the point where it was flaky and painful. My breakouts are worse and far more painful now also. I used the product as directed. I’ve struggled with acne for years and have tried numerous products and this has definitely been the worst reaction my skin has had to a product.

Amazing!
I have been using this product for about 6 months now and I am in love! I have tested so many other brands of products but they have never given me the results that the La Roche effaclar has given me. I use this in conjunction with the effaclar duo plus and hyalu B5 serum. I am in LOVE

Removes oil without the dryness and tightness
My skin has always been dehydrated but oily and stings when i wash it - even with just water. At 38 years old I was still getting pimples. This face wash thoroughly cleans all the oil and does not sting or leave my face feeling tight.
Ive only been using this product a short time but my pimples have greatly reduced and i hardly have any blackheads anymore. Plus Im not an expert but I actually think this facewash reduces my wrinkles due to the very very fine texture of the product.
Amazing! I have never written a review before but am doing so as I feel it could help so many people by using this product which actually does what it says it does

Top stuff!
I brought this complete set around 6 months ago, I suffer hormonal cystic acne and am highly allergic to vitamin A, which leaves me with such little choice then using hormone pills and good face cleansing routine. After using this product for the 6 months I’ve seen a dramatic change in my skin, it’s not so oily, the clay masks are absolute magic before bed.
I’ve noticed a huge difference in the previous scaring as well. The blemishes are slowly clearing. I’m so happy, best products I’ve come across so far.

Can't recommend enough!
I bought this product only a few months ago after suffering with cystic acne on my chin for years, and small breakouts! Nothing ever worked for my skin, eventually this product was recommended to me and I have never looked back! my skin has never looked this clear or felt so healthy. I am so beyond grateful for this product, not only has it increased the quality of my skin, but has increased the level of confidence I have without makeup.
