Best cleanser I’ve used

This is amazing. Over the years I’ve tried all sorts, but this has changed my skin completely. It’s that effective. I have now used this for 2 years. It lathers up nicely and makes my skin blemish free without drying up. I do agree with the comments about the lid, it can leak, I keep it stored ‘upside down’ rather than stood on the lid as it’s designed for as it can dribble out. I wouldn’t do a 4-star review based on that though, it’s not that much of an issue and given that this is possibly the best cleanser on the market for blemishes, oily skin, and age - storing upside down really isn’t much of a concern.

Great at clearing skin, maybe drying for some?

I’m approaching 40 and have suddenly started getting hormonal acne (after having my 2nd baby). I started using this after being recco’d it. I stripped back my regime to just cleanse, tone and moisturize. I’m not sure if it’s my skin, or a process, but after a week of using AM + PM my skin is flaking and tight, particularly around my mouth where the acne has come up. I’m hoping if I persevere it will pass, and just leave me with brighter skin overall- it has dried out the spot massively and seems to have almost cleared them, but would appreciate any feedback as I’m not sure if this means it’s just too stringent for my skin. Thanks.

My number 1 Brand , i have been using skinceuticals for 4 years and i recommended it to all my friends. Iam always asked about my skin rotine and what products i use . Highly recommended it is like magic but you must be consitent and you will see the result. It is expensive but worthable.

Balanced and clearer skin

I brought this gel wash as I have blemish prone and oily skin. Reading the label and the skin type this is formulated for I thought I would see if it works for me. I have been using it for over 3 weeks twice a day. I tend to leave it on my wet face for a couple of minute before washing it off. You don't need to use much and if lathers pretty well to. It feels silky on my skin and washes off easily. After use my skin feels soft and not at all dry or tight. The oily areas of my face is less oily and I've not had any breakouts either. I have seen some reviews where they say it tingles, but I've not experienced this, nor any leakage from the packaging. My skin is looking brighter, even and less oily. This gel cleanser contains glycolic and Salicylic acid. and

Best Cleanser for Combination Acne-Prone skin

Excellent cleanser for those of us in our 30's with persistent congested skin, for whom salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide don't work. I also can't use other remedies such as witch hazel, benzoyl peroxide or tea tree oil. This cleanser completely cleared up my skin including the little congested spots on my chin, and smoothed out my skin overall.

Leaky packaging

Please fix the packing on this product! The face wash is great, it leaves my face feeling clean and fresh. Using this combined with the blemish and age serum, my acne prone skin has cleared up. My only issue (and it’s a big one) is that the packaging leaks everywhere, so I can’t pack it if I go away. I would expect better than a cheap, squeezy tube for a product at this price. It should have a pump and a secure lid. I have bought this product twice now and the packaging has leaked both times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good cleanser brings out toxins. It can sting a little bit at first. Which I assume means it’s working? I’ve noticed my skin get a bit worse at first and then improve. So I think it helps purge skin of impurities. Comes in a nice large bottle so I don’t think I’ll run out for a while! Good Product but be careful of how wash off

Blemish + Age Cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on a Isotretinoin treatment at the moment and my skin is more sensitive than regularly. So I was afraid to use this cleanser on my face. I did try though on my body and it was totally fine, did not cause irritation. It foamed well, and did not have any smell, which I prefer. So much better for me than the Gentle Cleanser, which has a citrus scent. The texture on the Blemish + Age Cleanser was gel like, which I prefer too. Just it was a bit too runny. The Simply Clean cleanser has a thicker gel consistency, and has a pump, so, I would prefer to use the Simply Clean over the new Blemish + Age Cleanser.

Good second cleanse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleanser seems to have helped with some small breakouts I was having around my nose/cheeks, although I’m still getting the hormonal spots. I remove makeup first then go in with this as a second cleanse; it cleans my skin well without leaving it feeling tight which is key for my dehydrated skin. Pump packaging would be better - I don’t like these tubes that stand on their end as I just find it gets messy easily.

Strong cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this a few times a week on my face and also my chest as I often suffer from blemishes there too, mostly using in the shower. A little goes a long way. I think it has made some difference to my chest area but will have to continue to use it to see how much it helps in the long run. It is probably one of the harshest cleansers I personally have used and have found that if it gets in the eyes, which happens a lot when washing the face, it really stings and continues to do so for a while. I will probably only continue to use in on my chest going forward.

I do tend to be broken out with with hormonal spots so I can’t entirely blame the cleanser. Anyways a few weeks later I’m amazed, the way my skin feels after use is utterly amazing soft and very clean! My breakouts are minimal in comparison to first use. My only complaint and it’s minor in comparison to the cleanser is the packaging I feel I’m wasting a little through leakage it does get a bit mucky. I will definitely continue to use!

Blemish free and long lasting product

Ageing, breakouts and brightness are my main concerns and so this is perfect! I love a foaming cleanser, it makes my skin feel so clean and fresh and although I probably would prefer something with a little fragrance that is not an issue just a preference. The smell is barely noticeable but I would always prefer a product to do it’s job than to just smell pretty! Refreshing cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice product to use, lovely to apply and doesn’t strip skin but leaves it feeling refreshed and looking clear. It’s got a lovely menthol fragrance which isn’t too over powering, giving your skin that tingle and cooling effect. I prefer to use it as a morning cleanser or as a 2nd cleanse in the evening. Great cleanser for congested acne skin.

I get very congested skin and really need a good cleanser to remove make up at the end of the day and to clear my skin from oils and impurities. This feels like it does just that. I prefer to use it for my evening cleanse but I could use it for both morning and evening. As well as it doing a great job at cleansing, clearing and balancing my skin, it doesn't strip my skin like other cleansers for blemished skin do. Formula is too aggressive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't have sensitive skin and have never used a product that has irritated it, but after using this twice a day for around 4 days I was getting a burning sensation on my face whenever I applied any product, both skincare and make up. It started around my eyes but then spread to my whole face. I cut out using this for a week and it returned to normal. I used the cleaners one more time and straight away the skin around my eye area started burning again. Will have to stop using this one which is a shame as most of my other skincare is from the SkinCeuticals range and has never given me any problems.

Hard-working gel cleanser

It has a just right consistency, a little goes a long way so a tube would last absolute ages (good value for money). Skin is radiant

I’ve been using it for my night time cleanse, and over the course of two weeks I’ve seen that; My skin is a more even, healthier colour (especially in the morning) My open pores are much less obvious My skin actually has that glow that you see in the magazines but never know how to get! Pleasantly Surprised

Firstly, I don’t like to spend more than £10 on a face cleanser since most of it goes down the sink; so, this one feels a little pricey. However, after using it, I think it’s worth the extra cost. The bottle is 200 ml and I have only ever need a small pea-sized amount, so it lasts a long time. The cleanser also foams very well and I don’t feel like a need a second cleanse, as I do with other face washes. Importantly, I have acne-prone combination skin and, because I use other acne fighting products, I find that most cleansers leave my skin feeling very dry. After washing with this one though, my skin perfectly smooth and never tight or dry. My persistent chin spots are also clearing up! I have been converted to this cleanser because, like all SkinCeuticals products, it works. I will definitely purchase again.

Bit too strong for me

I was worried it may dry my combination 48 yo skin out but it hasn't so far, wouldn't want to use everyday though. The menthol smell is quite strong and does irritate my sensitive eyes. (There is a warning to keep away from eyes, but I found the menthol irritated anyway.) I think this is too strong for me and prefer a more gentle cleanse. It also contains SLS which I don't like on my skin. It did make my skin feel clean and fresh, I like the exfoliation too.

Although it’s designed to help skin prone to blemishes, it doesn’t strip the skin. Neither does it leave my skin feeling tight and uncomfortable - just the opposite! I didn’t feel the need to immediately smother my face in oils to try to restore the equilibrium; which is often the case when using cleansing products like this. I really like this cleanser, and was impressed with how easily it removed all of my makeup. A little goes a long way too, so this product really does give you fantastic value for money. I will continue to use this cleanser, though I probably won’t use it on evenings when I’m using retinol products - as I did feel my skin was literally telling me to behave myself when I did this! Your skin might be ok, but mine definitely prefers a more balanced approach. All in all, a great cleanser that I would happily recommend.

Great for skin health

The cleanser has no fragrance, and has a gel texture. It's runnier than most gel cleansers I have used, but it makes it that much easier to use. It lathers up, but not too much, and does not leave the skin stripped of moisture at all. I've had a few spots on my face the last few days, and this cleanser is so well suited to my skin condition right now, it really feels like the right product to use. Feel fresh cleanser

Effective cleanser

Luxurious gel cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gel cleanser feels much thicker and more luxurious than other gel cleansers that I’ve used. It spreads easily onto the skin but because it feels a bit thicker, you can really work it into your skin, rather than it just washing away really easily. The menthol leaves a nice tingling on the skin. You just have to be mindful when using the bottle about squeezing gently, as it’s easy to dispense more product than perhaps intending.

Great Treatment Cleanser

I still get the occasional blemish and at 40, any products related to blemish control can strip the skin and make it dry- not what I need! This is so gentle yet effective and soothing too. If you have a lot of make up to remove them you can damp a cotton pad and put some of this cleanser on to remove your make up too! Works wonders. Skin is left clean but comfortable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m usually one to avoid gel cleansers as they tend to dry my skin out. However due to some hormonal acne I decided to give this product a go. A little goes a long way and you get a good lather to really make the most of the product. I have been using after taking my make-up off to ensure my skin gets the most from it. I was very pleasantly surprised at how moisturise my skin felt after use. It felt clean without the ‘tight’ feeling other gel based cleansers give me. My skin also felt noticeably smoother after about 10 days of use which I am very impressed by. Another very effective Skinceuticals product!

A solid cleanser

Great cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a great cleanser, definitely one of my favourites. I usually have a problem with my skin drying out from cleansers, especially when it's cold outside, but this cleanser doesn't dry my skin at all. I've only been using it for about a week, but so far my breakouts appear to be less too and it removes even my waterproof make up perfectly. I can only recommend it.

Squeaky clean skin & very long lasting!

Refreshing Face Wash

Refresh and revitalise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a large bottle of skin wash. On opening I was quite taken aback by the amount you receive for cost. I have mature skin, that can be easily be unbalanced by strong facial washes or too many chemicals. This wash has a eucalyptus smell to me, which awakens your pores without over stimulating. A tiny amount goes a long way too. I would recommend to people with recommend for oily skin and dry skin as I have both!

Nice for glowing , breakout free skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this cleanser twice a day as part of my daily skincare routine and I must say I m really impressed with the results I have seen. It’s a really gentle cleanser cleans my skin so well without ripping any moisture off or leaving my skin with that tight kind of dry feeling. I love the refreshing feeling after washing my face and love how clear and bright my skin looks. The texture is just the right kind of thick I would like and easy to use. Also it’s really long lasting as you only need a tiny bit to make a good amount of lather. I have been using it for a while now and I m really happy with the results my skin looks a lot more brighter and more even , it really helped my dull uneven skin tone which was really bothering me. I will definitely recommend this cleanser.

Refreshing and clarifying without drying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Always a bit cautious of using anything but a gentle cleanser, but I needn’t have worried. Slightly sticky on application but melts into the skin with water and has a slightly menthol effect. My skin has evened out a little and a couple of small spots faded away much quicker than normal which was great. Would recommend

Brighter, cleaner, fresher

Fresh and bright glowing skin.

In the morning I massage it in to my skin before I get in the shower and leave it on. It works like an exfoliator, but it is not harsh or damaging at all, hence me being able to use it twice a day, everyday. When I rinse it off my skin looks fresh and bright. At night time, I apply it twice, the first time to remove any make up and the second to cleanse my skin. My skin always has a glow after using. Plus the tube lasts forever.

Gives a deep but really gentle clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did some damage to my skin barrier after over exfoliating (in a more misguided attempt to mitigate some acne that came up as a result of changing my Pill). Whilst I’m building my skin barrier back up, I was looking for something to use alongside my cream cleanser to give a bit of a deeper, but still gentle, clean. This has been absolutely perfect - lathering up into a soft and gentle foam. It leaves a really clean feel (with a slight minty tingle as though you’ve just leant in for a sip of fresh mint tea) but is in no way stripping. It left my skin feeling really cleansed, removing all the sebum, dirt and grime from the day (I’m city based), and we’ll prepped for my serum and moisturiser. I would definitely recommend, and will be adding this as a staple to my skincare routine (although you only need a small amount, so it feels as though the tube will last for ages).

Gentle on Sensitive Skin

Often exfoliating daily cleansers for me are actually more like weekly exfoliators, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too strong and my skin didn't feel too stripped. Gentle exfoliation for congested perimenopausal skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sensitive, perimenopausal skin is hard to handle: I get deep hard cysts along my jawline, but harsh cleansers irritate my skin and leave it tight (you need to hang on to all your lipids after 40!). I couldn't wait to try this cleanser, but I was sceptical that it could really help reduce my breakouts without drying out my skin and damaging the barrier. I was pleasantly surprised. I could no longer feel the build up of dead skin on my face, and the redness calmed down, even though the cleanser wasn't on my skin for very long. It removed my physical sunscreen and make up easily and my skin felt lovely and soft. As usual, Skinceuticals got the balance just right.

New favourite cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After only using the Blemish + Age Cleanser gel for one week, I can already see results. I have a very sensitive, combi skin which is very prone to drying around eyes and cheeks with uneven patches. After using this product, I have noticed a huge difference in my skin, especially my pores which used to be very congested. My skin texture feels and looks much better and it's much brighter. I can feel some tightness but at the same time the cleanser does not dry out my skin, I'm pleased how it left my skin feeling hydrated. Only downside is the bottle. The gel has a runny texture and you only need a very small amount of the product as it foams up nicely, it would be easier to dispense using a pump dispenser instead. That being said, the bottle is big and lasts a very long time which is great.

Great cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this cleanser for the first time today, but I can see how effective it is after only one use. I am in my late 30s and sometimes get hormonal breakouts. I feel an improvement after using this cleanser as part of my double cleanse routine. My skin looks a lot brighter and a small spot I had on my chin looks a lot less red and inflamed. The only negative in my opinion is the smell of the product. It is quite acidic and medicinal. However, it doesn't linger on the skin after rinsing, so it wouldn't stop me using the product. I do feel that the product is quite potent, so I will initially only use it at night 2 or 3 times a week and then build up to regular use. People with sensitive skin or who exfoliate regularly with other potent products may want to take a similar approach and slowly incorporate this cleanser into their routine.

Great cleanser

After washing my skin felt moisturised but not oily and did not have the tight feeling that happens with some products. Overall I would recommend this product as it works well for my sensitive skin type and didn’t make my oilyness worse. It also helped calm down new spots that had appeared. Skin noticeably clearer within weeks

I am in my late 20s with a lot of spot scarring and get the occasional pimple still. After buying this a month ago (along with the toner and daily moisturiser) my skin is noticeably clearer. The scaring is much less visible and any spots I do get disappear quickly. Others have commented that my skin looks brighter. I’ve tried a lot of other products that haven’t worked, but this really delivers and is well worth the money

Great product, terrible packaging

I love the result of skin ceuticals on my skin, but all packaging cannot be placed standing. The content will leak out of the packaging, which is a waste since it is so expensive. PLEASE fix this SkinCeuticals!!

Excellent Facewash

I have been using this product for a while now along with the toner. They are both very good however I agree with the other customers about the packaging. The other cleansers you do are in pump dispensers can you please do the same with this one. Too much product comes out and it is such a waste.

Great but please change the package!

I've been using this product for over a year now and I love it but I cannot take it anywhere with me when I travel because it leaks EVERYWHERE! No matter how I package it up securely the liquid escapes. I have also tried putting it into various containers that are 'leak' free and it leeks. I'm so sad about this as I'm now back in the market for the perfect cleanser :-( please, please, please change the packing so it's more secure and I can travel with it.

Should of bought it sooner!

Love the texture of this cleanser and has a fresh smell to it. I’ve been using it for two weeks and my skin has transformed! Hardly brake out anymore and have always been conscious of my skin and always wore make up to cover it. I now haven’t worn any for 4 days which is un heard of for me. Defo worth spending the money!

Wonderful cleanser, shame about the packaging !

This is a fantastic cleanser which I use every day. It leaves my skin feeling clean but with no tightness. The only downside is the packaging. Its not easy to use and is hard to control the amount of product coming out. Please bring back the bottle with a pump !

I am a big fan of this cleanser and I am using it for over 6 yrs and was at first pleasantly surprised by the new packaging. BUT in use it is just awful. The whole is just way too big for the liquid and it spills all over the place. You can't really control how much is coming out so therefore you using too much.. Do the packaging designer EVER use and try these products????

Cleared my skin

I have suffered with adult acne for many years. I use this and notice my skin clears up within a few days. I use a small amount morning and evening as part of my skincare routine. Just bought my 2nd bottle. Packaging isn’t the best though it tends to leak out.

Great but can be irritating

This is such a great cleanser but I’ve had to give it up while on a low dose of Roaccutane- it’s causing mild irritation in conjunction with this acne medication. I’ll definitrly go back to it though. One thing I would suggest is to put the cleanser in a pump bottle- hard to control the amount that comes out of the tube and you don’t need much of it to effectively wash your face!

I have an oily t-zone and can get congested pores in that area, but this really helps to reduce these issues. It’s a nice exfoliating product that cleanses too. I love it

Good cleanser, terrible packaging

Great cleanser that I have been using for upwards of 2 years. I am very disappointed with the new packaging however. The bottle leaks and the cleanser comes out far too quickly which means you waste a lot of the product. The older bottle was much better. Please fix this as it would deter me from buying again
