Really gentle but effective retinol serum

It feels lightweight on the skin, absorbs nicely, and doesn’t leave any greasy or sticky feeling. What I like most is that it feels much gentler than other retinol products I’ve tried, so it’s been easy to work into my routine. After using it consistently, my skin has been looking smoother, more even, and overall a lot healthier. It layers well with moisturiser and hasn’t caused the dryness I usually worry about with retinol. A really good option if you want to start using retinol without your skin feeling overwhelmed.

Improved my skin overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the past few weeks I've been using CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum and it has improved my skin overall. It has refined the texture, slightly brightened and start softened fine lines .It's a milky serum, spreads nicely, absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a sticky layer. Love how my skin feels

Although it doesn’t contain a lot of retinol it really helped with some of the fine lines and because it has ceramides and hydrating ingredients it is beautifully gentle on the skin. Better Than Expect!

I really like the texture and how easily it spreads on the skin. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave that sticky layer that so many serums from other brands tend to. Surprisingly, the scent is a pleasant bonus - for a CeraVe product, it’s actually quite nice, considering their products usually smell a bit medicinal to me. The packaging is very convenient to use, although I’m not completely sure whether too much product will end up stuck inside at the end, because of course I won’t be able to check once the serum runs out. Overall, a very nice serum and worth the price.

Waiting Patiently For Retinol Results

Skin feels soft

Perhaps longer use might provide more noticeable results. It didn’t aggravate my sensitive skin, which was really good as I wasn’t sure if it would be too harsh. My only concern is that in very small writing it says that sunscreen should be applied daily whilst using this serum. I would prefer to see this warning more clearly marked. Perhaps this serum is not something I’d want to use regularly in the summer. Happy to use at this time of year when it’s not as sunny. I did make sure to apply sunscreen every morning. Would probably buy again - if after continued use the difference was noticeable.

Works in time

Love the thin texture and how well it gets absorbed by the skin leaving behind a smooth silky texture. Love that it doesn't dry the skin due to the addition of hyaluronic acid and 3 types of ceramide. Regarding the efficiency, after 2 weeks small differences were seen on my deep wrinkles and more visible on fine lines. Will continue using it as I'm so impressed so far.

Multi benefit serum

My skin is quite dry and drank this up really quickly which made me want to use more but obviously retinol is better used in small amounts, so I had to be careful not to overdo it. It didn’t leave my skin feeling moisturised, it pretty much sank into my skin as though it had not even been applied, but from literally the first use, my skin immediately felt noticeably softer to the touch; so it definitely did something beneficial. I didn’t experience any sensitivity from it. In terms of improvement to fine lines, I can’t say I have seen any yet but I will give it more time.

Amazing skin renewing night serum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lovely face serum with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to help keep the skin hydrated. It also had retinol which is great to renew aging skin, it is surprisingly gentle and I use it at least three times a week, no issues... although my skin is quite used to retinol as I've been using it for around 6 years now. You can build up tolerance if you're just starting your retinol journey.I love this serum because by the next morning, my skin feels renewed and super hydrated. I'd recommend using SPF the next morning due to the retinol that was used the previous night, SPF is always necessary especially after retinol has been introduced to the skin. Absolutely fantastic serum.

No difference

Initially it caused my forehead to break out in lots of under the skin pimples so I had to scale back the amount and usage. However having gradually built back up I just can't see any difference at all. The good points are that a small amount goes a long way so it should last well. It has no scent either whick I like but unfortunately for me I just wouldn't use again as it's literally done nothing.

Might improve in time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve not used retinol products consistently before, I’ve used ones in the past which my skin reacted to quite quickly so stopped using. But as cereVe is a trusted brand of mine and often sensitive and delicate I thought I’d give it ago. I have not been using every night and slowly started to introduce into my night time routine , after I’ve double cleansed I’ve applied the product . You only need a small amount as it spreads quite nicely across the face and neck , quite a loose consistency and does melt into the skin , I’ve not reacted to it like I thought I would but my face (as per the picture) does appear quite red at first , it does die down after a while however. My skin feels a nice texture after use, I’m well aware it’s not going to offer dramatic changes to my skin (I’m 40) however I think it will certainly help to prevent further signs of aging as my skin does feel and look better. Time will tell with this product

Excellent rentinol

Generally effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I liked this product. It does dry the skin but it does help the skin with pigments. It has dried out certain areas significantly which has given me marks in terms of overly arid areas. You need a good moisturiser! However, it has eased so I am sure that another few weeks would sort this out. It does cause the skin to mildly peel but this is a natural side effect and does help marks and lines. I would say it is a solid 8.5/10 maybe higher when the skin becomes acclimatised.

Gorgeous soothing cream

The renewing retinol serum did not fail to impress me. The texture is light and feels indulgent in the skin. I used this every evening after I’ve cleansed my face to allow it to work over night whilst sleeping. After using it for approximately 2 weeks I saw a huge difference in my skins texture, it feels a lot more softer and I haven’t broken out in as many spots as I’m used to. I didn’t see much difference!

I applied every evening after cleansing my face and it felt like it was quickly absorbed into my skin but the next day when i was waking up my face was greasy. Good product and affordable

This serum not only has retinol but acid hyaluronic that helps to retain water so it hydrated and plump the skin. It has niacinamide too that it helps reducing redness and inflammation. Definitely I can tell my pores are less visible after using this serum after 2 weeks. The wrinkles? I think still the same but I don't think 2 weeks are enough for that. In general I am quite happy with this product. I have combination skin but in autumn and winter is drier and reactive and I was a bit worried thinking maybe it will be too aggressive on my skin but no problems at all with it. I only use it in the evening and I use always SPF 50+ in my morning skincare routine. Definitely I will buy it again with no hesitation. Thanks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it for last 2 weeks every evening in my nighttime skincare routine, I’ve noticed my skin started to feel more hydrated and smoother, my wrinkles started to look a bit less visible, will carry on using as im impressed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great! It soaks in nicely and makes skin feel lovely and soft after. My skin does look so much better and would say I have slightly younger healthier looking skin. I can be sensitive to some skin care products but no skin irritation here. I can see my buying this in the future
